This makes you THE water expert for your site. You possess real and valuable data that you can use to
make a case to support cleaner water along your watershed. Included in this section is a list of tips and links to help
you use your water testing findings to make a difference in your community.
Things You Can Do To Make Your River Clean and Your Community

1. Register to vote: http://www.fec.gov/
2. Write a letter to your local congressperson or the president or vice president.
3. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
4. Become a local activist. If you pinpoint a problem, how can it be solved?
Organize a group to take action! Use the 4empowerment network to get other students involved.
